Some of our producer members are part of a fresh new crop of independent makers focusing on a carefully made, small selection of products which heavily stress high quality and locally sourced ingredients and also have a strong sense of place in terms of supply to clients who are, themselves, also looking local for top quality supply.

One of this new generation is Kent’s North Charcuterie where owner/operator Bill Gardner has gone to great lengths to ensure that his facilities are the very best they can be, his processes are on point and his range of products has a wide appeal. Combined with this solid start he has also taken steps to work with other independent Kent craft food & drink makers providing a exciting route to market that emphasises the strengths of everybody involved.
This imaginative approach has seen Bill working with the regions restaurants, breweries, cider makers and Chefs who have all been keen to collaborate in a celebration of both their own work and his charcuterie.
Tenterden’s Old Dairy Brewery Ales have featured in two of the company’s salami. Over the border in Sussex, Flimwell Park restaurant Birchwood is showcasing North Charcuterie and Ex Libertine Carl Barat & Gizzie Irskine’s new opening, Love Cafe Margate is not missing the chance to highlight the local producer cured meats either!
