Following on from yesterday’s announcement of our Judging of entries for the Cannon & Cannon UK Cured Meat Festival Awards we are pleased to announce another great collaboration.
‘The Charcuterie Board – National Charcuterie Week’ will culminate in an inaugural weekend event on the 11/12/13th September organised by ourselves in partnership with The School of Artisan Food at the historic Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire, UK along with a host of key players from across the UK charcuterie scene.
The event will feature, on Friday, an exclusive event for producer members who have entered the Cannon & Cannon Awards to attend, free of charge, to showcase their wonderful products to a group of the country’s finest buyers, distributors and retailers as well as the press. This will allow tastings and opportunities to discuss potential supply or custom production that you, as a producer, may be able to offer our trade guests.
Later that evening a party will see the first unveiling of our ‘The Charcuterie Board Silver Star’ index highlighting all-round excellence of recognised producers and companies within the UK class of this International scheme.
Following on from all of this the weekend will then see the main event open for the public to sample and buy, not only members Charcuterie, but also the produce from the Estate’s amazing bakery, dairy, farm shops and brewery and see practical demonstrations, talks, interactive classes and enjoy fire-cooked foods!
